<span style="color: #222222;">The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare provided 150 no. of AgVa ICU Ventilators to Manipur for use in tackling COVID-19 pandemic and these medical equipment have arrived in Imphal today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh formally received the life saving equipment in a simple function held at CM Bungalow and expressed thankfulness to the Union government for giving these ventilators.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The ventilators were provided under Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARE Fund). Earlier, 90 such ventilators were also provided to Manipur by the Centre and now Manipur has 240 such ventilators. These ventilators can be functional both invasive and non-invasive with inbuilt battery backup of two hours.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Minister Shri Biren said that the Central Government had also provided 400 oxygen concentrators and 500 D-Type oxygen cylinders and Manipur now has around 3000 D-Type cylinders. The State had also received two RT-CPR machines from UNICEF, and one each had been given to JNIMS and RIMS, he said.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In order to have adequate oxygen supply, the Chief Minister said that oxygen generating plants would be opened in two districts within 10-15 days. He also appealed to the public that prevention is the only means to get rid of this dreaded pandemic and the State Government had started taking greater penalties against SoP violators.</span><br />'' &nbsp;<br />
