Union Minister of State for Employment and Labour Bandaru Dattatreya said that the Centre is planning to promulgate a uniform Minimum Wages Act all over the country after discussing the issue at length in the ensuing session of Parliament. Addressing the media, after inspecting the dispensary of the Employees State Insurance Corporation in Kakinada yesterday, he said there is a need for ensuing minimum wages to all the workers including those who were in the unorganised sector. He said that a 100-bed ESI hospital would be set up in Kakinada as it was listed as one of the 100 Smart Cities in the country and also a lot of industrial activity is going on.
