Minister of chemicals and fertilizers Ananth Kumar said, Government is planning to set up 6 pharma parks and 2 medical devices parks in the country by next year. Releasing the recommendations of the task force on development of manufacturing capabilities in Pharmaceutical Production in New Delhi today, Mr. Kumar said these park will be set up to make India as a manufacturing hub for Pharmaceutical Production. It will also be part of Make in India campaign. The minister said that the Pharma industry is 30 billion dollar industry growing at 14 percent annually . He said target is to turn it into 55 billion dollar industry by 2020.
