Centre has permitted the Assam government to use drones for vigilance at the Kaziranga national park. In a written reply, state Forest minister Pramila Rani Brahma informed state assembly today that several steps are being taken to prevent rhino poaching at the Kaziranga and other national parks.<br/><br/>The minister said that process has already begun to appoint a 112 members Rhino Protection Force. Ms. Brahma said that security forces arrested 207 poachers last year. On the other hand, poachers killed 10 rhinos during last eight months.
