Centre must bear full cost of implementation of Right to Education Act: Nitish Kumar

<br/>Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said that the Centre must bear full cost of implementation of Right to Education Act. Welcoming this Act, Mr. Kumar stated that the state government was irrevocably committed to implement the act. He said central assistance is required as it is beyond the resources of a cash stripped state like Bihar. Nitish Kumar said that his government is committed to provide Education to deprived Children.<br/><br/>Mr. Kumar said earlier there were more than 33 lakhs children out of Schools but now their number has come down to seven lakhs.<br/><br/>While, Uttar Pradesh government has reiterated its demand that the UPA government at the Centre should foot the entire bill to implement the Right to Education Act in the state. Cabinet Secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh told media persons in Lucknow that Uttar Pradesh is not alone in making this demand. He said a number of states have made similar demands. He also said that UP Chief Minister Mayawati is not against the Right to Education Act as being projected by some political parties.
