The Centre is in the process of regulating rules regarding lotteries. Replying to a question in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, the Home Minister, Mr P Chidambaram said that consultations are taking place within the concerned ministries and state governments for finalizing the new rules. <br/> <br/>He said the rules are aimed at effectively controlling and regulating the lottery trade. Earlier, a study group was set up to examine the pros and cons of running lotteries and preparing rules for better implementation of the existing Act.<br/><br/>
