The Centre says more forces will be sent for anti-naxal operations in Chhatisgarh. Union Home Secretary R K Singh who visited Raipur today said the anti-naxal operation will continue with full force despite Saturday's lethal attack in Bastar region in which some senior Congress leaders were killed.

He held a review meeting with top state government officials, and said the forces have modern weapons to fight the Maoists menace. He said if the forces need some more state of the art weaponry, it will be provided. He ruled out deployment of army in naxal affected areas. Mr.Singh assured the State Government that the Centre will provide all assistanceto it for the anti-naxal operations.
