Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said that the Centre is laying stress on well-being, development of youngsters in the country. Addressing a large gathering of national and international delegates attending a four-day Global Youth Meet-2015 which began in Visakhapatnam yesterday, Venkaiah Naidu called upon the youth not to indulge in anti-social activities or habituated to vices like drugs, alcohol, tobacco and also not to fall prey to dreaded diseases like AIDS-HIV. He cautioned them to be alert about the present ills like terrorism, violence, atrocities against women and children which are plaguing the society and behave like responsible citizens. He said the Centre was concentrating more on the development of youth, and is spending more on education, health and skill development.<br/>Andhra Pradesh Health Minister K Srinivas said that India has the highest population of youth in the world and the State government was ensuring nutritious food to children through aganwadi centres. He said regular health check-ups for schoolchildren are being conducted with the medical teams going to schools.
