Centre keeping close watch on ISIS activities in country: Chaudhary

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Haribhai P.Chaudhary today said the centre is keeping a close watch on ISIS activities in the country. Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, he also deplored the Dadri incident in strong words and said the law and order situation is not good in Uttar Pradesh. Stating that the law and order issue is state subject, the Minister said advisories have been issued time and again when incidents like Dadri occurred. <br/><br/>Earlier, he said the government has initiated firm measures to strengthen the security forces in next four years. These measures include improvement of working conditions at the ground level and more financial powers to Directors General besides speeding up promotional avenues of forces. <br/><br/>Speaking at the 23rd Anniversary Parade of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) at Hakimpet on the outskirts of Hyderabad this morning, he said five more battalions will be added soon to the RAF and the modalities are being worked out.<br/><br/> He assured that there is no dearth of funds to provide facilities required for security personnel. He said steps have already been taken to resolve the problems that the forces are facing at the ground level.<br/><br/>Earlier, the Director General CRPF Prakash Mishra stressed the need for expanding the RAF further. He also felt that measures need to be taken to reduce the time presently being taken for deployment of the RAF battalions when need arises.<br/><br/> The RPF was presented colours on this day in 1993. Total 78 CRPF officials have been bestowed with President's Police Medals on the occasion. The daredevil demonstrations displayed by women RAF members enthralled the viewers on the occasion
