Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has assured political leaders from Nagaland that the Centre is ready to go an extra mile to ensure lasting peace in the restive northeastern State. A delegation of political leaders from Nagaland which called on the Prime Minister in New Delhi on Tuesday, urged for lasting peace in the state which is plagued with insurgency for the past many decades. According to an official release, the Prime Minister told the delegation that this is the right time to resolve the issue and bring in peace and normalcy in the State.
