The Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir Government have resolved to use education as a tool to bring normalcy to the state.<br/><br/>The Central and State Governments on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the 65th Cabinet Advisory Board of Education (CABE) meeting in New Delhi.<br/>'<br/>Speaking on this occasion, HRD School Education Secretary Anil Swarup said that the government is engaging with the state to mainstream children and use education as a tool to bring normalcy. <br/><br/>Swarup said the State Government had also agreed to look at the NCERT curriculum for convergence and more schools from Jammu and Kashmir were seeking CBSE affiliation.<br/><br/>The two governments have planned a number of measures, including an exchange programme involving 9,000 to 10,000 students from the state from January 18 and setting up ICT and digital platforms in the state's schools.<br/>'<br/>The roadmap will be implemented in three years with the goal of bringing a major improvement in learning levels of students by 2020. It comprises a comprehensive framework, including human resource management to quality interventions.<br/><br/>The roadmap has identified high priority areas, including restructuring of state teacher education institutes, created integrated data management information system and curriculum revision.
