The Centre SAYS, some interested parties appear to be spreading rumours leading to exodus of people of North East from Karnataka . Speaking to newsmen outside Parliament , the Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region, Pawan Singh Ghatowar said, the UPA government is taking all measures to provide safefy and security to the people from the region. He cautioned against spreading rumours .

Mr. Ghatowar said, he spoke to the Chief Ministers of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and their DGPs on the issue. He said they have assured that all steps have been taken to provide adequate security and safety to the people from the North east.
