Centre implementing infrastructure projects in Myanmar which would also benefit NE States: V. K. Singh

The Centre is implementing many infrastructure projects in Myanmar which would also mainly benefit the North-Eastern States, specially Manipur and Mizoram. <br/><br/>Minister of State for External Affairs V.K. Singh said this in a written answer in the Rajya Sabha today. He said that 69 bridges including approach roads are being constructed in the 150 kilometre-long Tamu-Kyigone-Kalewa section. <br/><br/>The 121 kilometre-long Kalewa-Yargi road section is also being upgraded. India is also constructing Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project to connect Indian ports on the eastern seaboard and the Sittwe port in Myanmar, he said.<br/><br/>
