Centre has to take final view on statehood for Telanagana: Srikrishna

Justice Srikrishna has said the Centre has to take final view on statehood for Telanagana. Responding to a question during a press conference in Hyderabad today, the Chairman of the Committee for Consultations on the Situation in Andhra Pradesh has said ultimately the Parliament has to pass a bill brought by the Centre in respect to the statehood issue and the committee’s job was to get the pulse of the people.<br/><br/>He also said the consultations held in the past two days with various groups and associations were fruitful. Stating that more than 1.30 lakh representations have been received by the Committee so far, he further said some are individual expression of opinion in a form of post card while some are well-drafted representations. Making it clear that no representation would be discarded, he said the committee would consider all necessary views at its discretion in taking a final view.<br/><br/>The committee would continue the political consultations next week i.e. 10-12th in Hyderabad , he said. The views have been presented by the Telangana Intellectuals Forum, Telanganan Development Forum, Telangana Jagrithi and Telanganan Writers Association besides Andhra intellectual Forum in the past two days
