Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan said yesterday that the Centre has adequate stock of onions. He said so far, Centre has provided 1850 tonnes of onion to Tripura, 2000 tonnes to Haryana and 960 tonnes to Andhra Pradesh at the rate of 15.59 rupees per kilogram.

In a series of tweets, Mr Paswan said the Delhi government has demanded 100 tonnes of onions daily from 28 September to 5 November which will be met. Apart from this, the states will be provided as much onion as needed.
