The Centre has formulated a draft legislation to combat sporting frauds such as match fixing and deliberate under performance. It is intended to further strengthen the legal provisions to prevent sporting misdemeanours. Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal gave this information in the Lok Sabha today. He said the Prevention of Sports Fraud Bill will uphold the integrity of sports.
