Centre has directed the state governments to strengthen the State Channelising Agencies of National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation,NBCFDC. Addressing a conference of Managing Directors of channelising agencies, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Mukul Wasnik asked the states to ensure an effective utilization of allocated funds. He said that it is a matter of concern that a few states are not taking enough steps for drawl of allocated funds. Mr. Wasnik also stressed the need to ensure that the target groups get finance at concessional rates of interest.
