<span style="color: #222222;">The Centre has directed all Cable TV Operators and DTH platforms to carry all 24 DD Channels. In a video message, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, the operators are not showing all DD Channels which is in contravention of existing rules. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, a letter has been written, informing them that it is mandatory for Cable TV Networks to carry all 24 DD Channels. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister said, an Affidavit has been sought from both existing Multiple System Operators as well as fresh applicants that they are carrying all DD Channels, besides Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha TV channels, on their TV network. The Affidavit has to be submitted within one month .<br />'' <br />'' The Ministry said, in view of the contribution of Doordarshan towards dissemination of accurate information about policies and programmes of government, acceleration of socio-economic change, promotion of national integration and stimulation of scientific temper, it is mandated that all Cable TV Networks should carry DD channels. </span><br />'' <br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">However, it is noticed that the same is not being done by several cable operators, which is in contravention of existing rules.</span>
