The Centre has denied permission to a group of over 250 pilgrims to visit Pakistan, citing security reasons. Shriomani Gurdwara Pharbandhak Committee secretary Harcharan Singh said that Centre had asked for an undertaking from the persons who wanted to visit Pakistan, that they are going at own risk. However, SGPC did not agree for it.<br/><br/>After the SGPC withdrew its delegation, a group of pilgrims was being led by the NGO. Around 100 pilgrims had arrived at Attari to board a special train for Pakistan to commemorate the 178th death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.<br/><br/>On trip's cancellation, pilgrim's staged a protest at the station and raised slogans against the Central and State government.
