Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan inaugurated a two-day Orientation Programme for the Members of Delhi Legislative Assembly in the national capital yesterday. Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Mahajan said both the Centre and Delhi government need to maintain harmonious relations between them. <br/><br/>She advised the MLAs to act as a mediator in Delhi's relationship with the Centre. She also exhorted the MLAs to possess knowledge of various conventions, rules, practices and procedures of the House. She said, the duty of the opposition is not only to oppose but also its duty is to contribute in government policies.
