Centre and Delhi government have agreed to set-up a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the cleaning-up and rejuvenation of the Yamuna. They also agreed to prepare a blueprint of the SPV during the next 45 days. Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti today held a meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and took a decision in this regard. <br/><br/>During the meeting, Ms Bharti accepted the Chief Minister's request of holding a joint meeting with Union Urban Development and Road Transport Ministers to work together for cleaning the river and reviving its past glory.<br/><br/>Mr. Kejriwal said such a meeting is important since all the concerned Ministries and Departments would have to make a co-ordinated effort. The issues related to beautification of the Yamuna River Front was also discussed.
