The Centre has deferred its decision on the report by the Karnataka Governor recommending imposition of President's rule in the state. The meeting of the cabinet committee on political affairs which was scheduled today has been postponed due to the Prime Minister's dinner to celebrate the completion of second year in office. The Home ministry which received the Governor's report has already conveyed its views to the Prime Minister's office. AIR correspondent reports that a decision on the issue is likely to be taken in the next couple of days.
