<span style="color: #222222;">The Centre has declared the whole of state of Nagaland as Disturbed Area, for a period of another six months under the Armed Forces Special Powers Act, AFSPA with effect from today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a gazette notification issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, stated whereas the central government is of the opinion that the area comprising the whole of the state of Nagaland is in such a disturbed and dangerous condition that the use of armed forces in aid of the civil power is necessary.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Home Ministry said the Central government hereby declares that whole of the State of Nagaland to be 'disturbed area' for a period of six months with effect from 30th of June for the purpose of the said Act, the notification stated.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Centre on December 30, 2020 had declared Nagaland as 'disturbed area' for a period of six months.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Nagaland has been under the coverage of AFSPA for nearly six decades.</span><br />
