The Government has declared October 14 as a holiday for Central government offices, including PSUs and banks, located in Delhi because of the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games. This holiday will also be applicable for Central government offices and PSUs located in Gurgaon, Faridabad, Noida and Ghaziabad. Government-run banks and insurance companies will also remain closed as the holiday is being notified under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
