The Centre has declared the Commission of Inquiry set up by the Delhi government to probe the multi-crore CNG fitness scam as invalid. In a statement, the Lieutenant Governor's office said that the Union Home Ministry clarified that the city government is not competent to set up such an inquiry. The LG office also said the Anti Corruption Branch of Delhi is already looking into the entire matter and has been asked to complete the investigation on priority basis.<br/><br/>Reacting to the Centre's move, the Aam Aadmi Party government said, the NDA government's stand again proves that it wants to protect all corrupt officers, political leaders in the scam.
