Centre convenes high level meeting of four Maoists infested States today

The Centre has convened a high level meeting of four Maoists infested States in Kolkata on Tuesday.<br/><br/>The Union Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram will preside over the meeting.<br/><br/>Chief Ministers of West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa and Jharkhand will be present at the meeting.<br/><br/>AIR Kolkata correspondent understands that the crucial meeting is likely to take decision on joint operations involving neighboring states against Maoists and exchange of more information and coordinated efforts to combat Maoist menace.<br/><br/>The Chief Minister of Jharkhand Shibu Soren will not attend the meeting of chief ministers of four naxalite hit states, scheduled to be held at Kolkata today to give finishing touches to the Operation Green Hunt against the naxalites. The meeting will be chaired by the Union Home Minister, P. Chidambaram. According to the official sources, the Chief Minister is not keeping well and is being checked up by the doctors at Apollo Hospital in Ranchi.
