The Central is seriously considering to implement a water recharging scheme for Ghaggar river to save the people of Haryana from the havoc of floods caused by the river every few years.Commissioner (Agriculture ) in Union Agriculture Ministry, Dr Gurbhajan Singh said this while interacting with farmers during his visit to flood affected areas of Nakoda village in Sirsa district.Mr Gurbhajan Singh said that it is being deliberated that the water of the concerned village be recharged underground in the same village. He assured the farmers that they would be provided all possible help by the Centre.He said that the Central Government is also seriously thinking of providing compensation to the farmers affected by the recent flood fury.The team visited Nakoda village, Thehri Fakira Wali village, Dhani Santa Singh village and several other villages.
