The Central Government is considering bringing a bill to increase the reservation quota for Divyangs in government jobs. <br/><br/>While addressing the gathering of Divayangs and their assistance and social workers in Allahabad today, the Union Minister for State for Social Justice and Empowerment Krishan Pal Gurjar said that the present reservation quota for divyang in government service is three percent only and it is expected to increase by five percent only .<br/><br/>He appealed to all state governments to clear their backlogs in the departments related to divyang's quota. <br/><br/>Government is committed for the welfare and empowerment of divyangs, Dalits and poor across the country. <br/><br/>Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment said that Government is aware of difficulties of Divyangs and taking steps to make their life easy and smooth. On this direction, The Minister said, a system of universal I- card has already been introduced which will accept and recognized across the country. <br/><br/>While initiating the distribution of assistance equipments to the divyangs from all areas of Allahabad district Minister Mr. Gurjar said that about four thousand camps for divyang equipments distribution have been organized so far. He said ,last year Prime Minister himself launched a scheme Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan which is also providing specialized kits to divyangs.<br/><br/>On this occasion, about five thousand assistance kits were distributed to divyangs who came from rural and urban areas of the district. The equipments include tricycle, motorized tricycle. Battery calipers, Smart phones for vision challenged divyangs and other specialized kits.<br/><br/>Members of Parliament K P Maurya, Revati Raman Singh and Shyama Charan Gupta were also present on this occasion. The assistance equipments were provided by Kanpur based public sector unit Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India.
