Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said, Centre is committed to resolve issues and problems of the State of Jammu & Kashmir to ensure peace, dignity, honour and development of all the people in the State. Addressing a press conference in Srinagar today, he expressed willingness to meet every stakeholder to resolve long-standing issues. <br/><br/>The Home Minister declared that government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is always willing to talk to all stakeholders including separatists to resolve issues with open heart and mind. Mr Singh, who is currently on a 4 day visit to J&K, elaborated the government's outreach mantra to permanently resolve issues of the state under five codes of compassion, communication, co-existence, confidence building and consistency.<br/><br/>The Home Minister assured that the government will respect the sentiments of the people of the state on Article 35 A and other issues and brushed aside the unfounded speculations about the same in the public domain. He assured that the government will not go against the sentiments of J&K on these issues. The Home Minister expressed satisfaction over the considerable improvement in the overall security situation in Kashmir Valley. He said, the situation is improving in the valley and the country wishes to see smiles on the face of Kashmiri people. <br/><br/>Asked about the allegations that NIA was being used to pressurise separatists, Mr Singh said it is an independent investigating agency and the law will takes its own course. The Home minister asked Pakistan to stop infiltrating terrorists in the state so that peace with dignity can be restored. Union MoS in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh, Deputy chief minister Dr Jitendra Singh and Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba were also present on the occasion.<br/><br/>The Home Minister announced that Centre will accommodate the cost escalation in the projects under PM's Development Package (PMDP) announced in 2015. The cost escalation has crossed 80 thousand crore rupees to more than one lakh crore rupees. <br/><br/>Rajnath Singh appealed countrymen and people abroad to visit Kashmir as people of the state are ready to welcome the guests. He said, Kashmir is safe and secure as there is no threat to the tourists. He announced that centre will undertake special tourism promotional drive to promote tourism in Kashmir and other regions of the State.<br/><br/>The Home Minister said, the terrorism has adversely affected the tourism sector, the youth, businessmen, workers and the poor. He said, government's policy of zero tolerance will continue against the terrorism and violence. He advised Kashmiri youth to stay away from stone pelting, militancy and violence. He also directed all security force agencies to avoid excessive use of force and collateral damage during law and order maintenance situation and anti militancy operations.<br/><br/>Mr Singh said, his interaction with about 55 delegations comprising civil society members, traders, students, teachers and mainstream political parties, reflected intense desire of cross section of people for peace, dignity and development in Kashmir.<br/><br/>After staying for three days in Kashmir, the Home Minister has reached Nowshera in Rajouri district of Jammu region this afternoon. He visited Army camp and had interaction with jawans.
