Minister of State for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik has said that the Centre is committed to promote ayurveda and other forms of traditional medicines and has formed policies for the purpose.<br/><br/>Inaugurating the 7th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo in Kolkata, he said the Centre wants to provide accessible, affordable and safe health care facilities to the people.<br/><br/>Ministry of AYUSH has organised AROGYA Expo in collaboration with West Bengal government from December 1 to 4 which coincides with the three-day 7th World Ayurveda Congress beginning today. <br/><br/>Mr Naik said this event and seminars which brings together worldwide experts, patrons, practitioners and enthusiasts of Ayurveda and traditional medicines provides an appropriate stage for discussing the strengths and weaknesses and also promoting ayurveda at national and international levels.<br/><br/> Saying that AYUSH is set to meet health care needs throughout the world, Mr Naik said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a great step by announcing the formation of a separate ministry of AYUSH. <br/><br/>He said, AYUSH treatment facilities are being provided at all levels – right from primary health centre to super-speciality hospitals like AIIMS.
