Union Minister for Road Transport Development Mr. Nitin Gadkari today said that the centre is committed for the development of basic infrastructure in all parts of the country. Speaking during the concluding session of two day summit of Maharashtra BJP in Panchavati at Nasik today, Mr. Gadkari said that the centre is focusing on all round development of the country and its policy decisions have already started showing results. <br/><br/>He added that a new wave of change and development can be clearly seen in road transport, railways and energy sector through various development oriented programs implemented by the centre in the span of just one year. He also informed that the government would soon introduce new motor vehicle and Road safety policy to reduce road accidents. He also stated that around 3.3 crores LED bulbs have been distributed to domestic consumers across India which would result in 80 savings in domestic energy consumption in the country.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, addressing the party members this afternoon, Maharahstra Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis has said that the state government has implemented various schemes to address the drought situation in the state. He stated that instead of just announcing loan waiver schemes, the government is more favorable towards the empowerment of the farmers through programs like Jalyukta Shivar abhiyaan. He also informed that under the Make in India flagship program the state government has made big investments in agro based business that would pave the way for employment opportunities in farm industries.<br/><br/>Maharashtra BJP President Mr. Raosaheb Danve, sate Revenue Minister Mr. Eknath Khadse, State Education Minister Mr. Vinod Tawade, and several other BJP ministers, MPs, MLAs and office-bearers attended the meeting.
