The centre on Wednesday chalked out a time bound action plan for strengthening security at airports. <br/><br/>This was done after the Home Secretary Mr. G.K Pillai reviewed various security issues concerning airports in the country. <br/><br/>Steps relating to biometric access, construction of watch towers, raising of perimeter walls, provision of adequate security staff, installation of CCTV cameras, provision of dog squads and bomb disposal squads, etc. were discussed at the meeting. . <br/><br/>The Civil Aviation Secretary, Director General of CISF and representatives from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security and from Airports Authority of India attended the meeting.
