During the meeting, the Union Minister asked Power companies to ensure no load-shedding during the summer months. <br />''<br />''He also asked all the stakeholders to closely monitor the situation and take proactive actions to meet the electricity demand during the summer months. The Ministry has directed National Thermal Power Corporation to run its five thousand Mega Watt gas-based power stations during the crunch period in April and May. In addition, four thousand Mega Watt of additional gas-based power capacity would be added by other entities during the summer months.</span>
