The government has called on the industry to join hands in the development of naxal hit areas to win the the trust of the people in these areas. <br/><br/>Speaking at the Annual Session of the CII, the Home Minister Mr P Chidambaram said that there is a huge trust deficit between the elected government and the people in the affected areas and they tend to rely on structure of power which opposes the country. He said that in the naxal hit areas the problem is the lack of effective governance. He said this is a wake up call and there is a need to ask our selves the reason behind the deficit in trust. <br/><br/>Without mincing words the Home Minister wandered whether one should be content with profit and loss accounts , balance sheets and daily dose of entertainment in the T -Twenty matches. <br/><br/>On the issue of inclusive growth the Mr Chidambaram said the record of the government has been mixed. He said that though the country has achieved an average of rate of 8.5 per cent growth in the period between 2004 and 2009 , the performance of the backward states has been poor.
