The Centre has stopped 69 organisations from receiving foreign funds. They are located in Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. <br/><br/>The highest number of 14 such organisations is located in Andhra Pradesh followed by 10 in Tamil Nadu, 5 in Gujarat and 4 each in Jammu and Kashmir and Kerala. Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju stated this in the Lok Sabha today. He informed the House that the government steps in as soon as reports of violations of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act and Foreign Contribution Regulation Rules are received.
