Centre assures all help to preserve J&K culture

Centre assures all possible help for promotion and preservation of rich and diverse culture of Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing the concluding function of the two day Kashmir festival in New Delhi, the Secretary Culture Jawhair Scircar urged the Jammu and Kashmir government and the NGO's to avail the benefits of the schemes formulated by the ministry for the purpose. <br/>The two-day festival organized by KECSS in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Cultural Academy concluded with an exciting performance by the cultural troupe depicting the rich legacy of Kashmir. A Painting exhibition show-casing evolution of Kashmir School of Paintings was another important highlight apart from a Mushaira. <br/>The autobiography of celebrated writer and Poet Moti Lal Saqi was released on the occassion and three prominent personalities including , Dr. Sushil Razdan were conferred the prestigious KECSS AWADRS for their outstanding contribution to the respective fields. Secretary Bio Technology Dr. M K Bhan and secretary Cultural Academy Zafer Iqbal Manhas were chief guests on the concluding function. <br/>Many prominent personalities including three times Green Oscar Winner Mike Pandey, Noted Film Maker Muzaffar Ali and Diplomats from several countries joined the two day event.<br/>
