Centre has asked the states to rectify errors in Socio-Economic and Caste Census. An official release said, government has reviewed the status of the Caste Census on 16th of this month in which around eight crore 19 lakh errors were found in the Caste returns. The errors were communicated to the States and union territories for rectification. The States have rectified more than six crore errors. About 1.5 crore errors are yet to rectified.
