Centre asks States to mark 'Selfie Danger Zone' of tourist site

The Centre has issued an advisory to State Governments to mark 'Selfie Danger Zone' at accident-prone locations of tourist sites. The Tourism Ministry directed that proper signages may be put up marking all such areas, besides posting volunteers or tourist police at such sites. <br/><br/>It also asked the officials to barricade areas, wherever possible danger is identified and urged for spreading awareness through social and other media campaigns. A Tourism Ministry official said, the decision is part of security measures being implemented for Independence Day celebrations.
