The Centre has asked State Governments to closely monitor the progress in use of funds in health projects.
Addressing a two-day meeting of State Health Ministers and senior health officials in New Delhi on Thursday, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad urged State Health Ministers and state Secretaries to closely monitor the financial progress and utilise the funds effectively and expeditiously.
Expressing concern over issues that need attention, he highlighted the slow pace in creating health infrastructure and irrational deployment of doctors.
