Centre has asked all Naxal-affected states to beef up security and deploy additional forces in sensitive locations.
Officials sources said in New Delhi that the Home Ministry advised Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra to intensify security in railway stations, bus terminus, roads, bridges and other public places.
Ministry of Railways have also been advised to deploy additional forces and intensify vigil along railway tracks to avoid any sabotage attempts by the Maoists.
The Centre advised the security forces to take maximum precaution while travelling and going on any offensive against the Naxals as the extremists may try to attack them.
The advisory comes in the wake of growing Naxal attacks after the recent killing of top Maoist leader Kishenji.
