The Centre has asked all of its Ministries and Departments to encourage their employees to make use of Debit Cards for personal transactions instead of cash. Ministry of Finance in a statement said, Ministries and Departments should liaise with their accredited banks and set-up special camps to ensure that all its employees are in possession of Debit Cards.<br/><br/>It said, they may also issue similar advisories to their attached and subordinate offices, PSUs and Autonomous bodies. The Government has taken policy decision to encourage cashless and electronic transactions.
