The government has set 31st of this month as the deadline for the Black Berry maker Canadian company, Research in Motion (RIM), to come up with a solution to the security concerns in the country. The decision was taken following a high level meeting chaired by the Home Secretary G.K. Pillai in New Delhi on Thursday. The meeting was convened following RIM’s refusal to allow monitoring of the mobile phone encrypted services. The government fears misuse of RIM’s devices by terrorists for communication. AIR correspondent reports, the government will review the situation after the expiry of the deadline.
