The Centre has approved reviving three Public Sector Undertaking Fertilizer companies in joint ventures. Replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Bhagwant Khuba said, in 2015 Ramagundam Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited, RFCL, Talcher Fertilizers Limited, TFL, and Gorakhpur, Sindri and Barauni units with the name of Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited, HURL are approved in 2016 for joint ventures with a capacity of 12.7 lakh metric tonnes per annum each. Mr Bhagwant said, RFCL has already started manufacturing Urea, since March this year. He also informed that the Centre has granted one-time grant-in-aid of 100 crore rupees for renewal and repair works in Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited.
