The Government has approved plans for 29 minority concentration districts in the country, involving an amount of over 392 crore rupees, during the 12th Five Year Plan.
An official release said, the plans were cleared by Empowered Committee for Multi-sectoral Development Programme in the Ministry of Minority Affairs at its 59th meeting held recently.
Of the approved 29 district plans, 16 were from Uttar Pradesh, 9 from West Bengal and 4 from Jharkhand.
