The Centre has approved a proposal of Bihar Government to estabilish Core Road network in the State under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna, PMGSY. This was finalized in a meeting which was held between Union Minister of Rural Development Jairam Ramesh and Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar. Talking to reporters after the meeting in New Delhi on Friday, Mr Kumar said, with the approval, the bottlenecks of implementing projects have been romoved.

This will fascinate construction of roads in the rural areas. Mr Kumar also said that a detailed Project Report of 2300 Kilometer road network has also been submitted to the Ministry for approval which is expected to be finalized by the end of this month.
