Centre approves proposal for early regulatory approval of transmission schemes identified for 66.5 GW Renewable Energy projects

<span style="color: #222222; font-size: 13.3333px;">In a major decision to fast track the deployment of Renewable Energy in the country, the Center has approved a proposal for early regulatory approval by Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) for transmission schemes identified for 66.5 Giga Watt National Renewable Energy Mission projects.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The Government has decided to set up 175 GW of Renewable Energy capacities in the country by the year 2022. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">This follows India's commitment made under the Nationally Determined Contribution pursuant to the Paris Agreement on Environment.  </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">About 80 Giga Watt of renewable energy generation has already been commissioned by May this year and the balance 95 Giga Watt has to come up in the next 3 years.</span><br />'' <br />''
