<br/>The Centre has approved the deployment of additional 26 Assam Rifles battalions on the Indo-Myanmar border to check the activities of Northeast extremists, the ultras include Ulfa cadres. According to the additional director-general of Assam Rifles, Maj. Gen. J.P. Nehra, the additional battalions would be able to tackle Northeast extremists taking shelter in Myanmar. <br/>
