Centre approves 6 road projects under PPP model

The finance ministry has approved six road projects involving expenditure of 9,774 crore rupees under the public-private partnership mode. A finance ministry official said in New Delhi today, that the approval has been granted by the Public Private Partnership Approval Committee, chaired by Economic Affairs Secretary R Gopalan. Approval has been granted to the six proposals of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways spread across five states.This includes six laning of Kishangarh Udaipur Ahmedabad section in Rajasthan and Gujarat, Four laning of Lucknow Sultanpur section in Uttar Pradesh and Angul-Sambalpur section in Orissa.
