Centre has approved 175 crore rupees for implementation of Jal jeevan mission in Meghalaya during 2020-21. Jal Jeevan Mission was launched by Union Government last year aims to provide Functional Household Tap Connection to every rural household by 2024. From UAE, more than 15000 Indians have already been repatriated by the special flights. <br />''<br />''Approximately 11,000 Indians from Dubai and Northern Emirates while from Abu Dhabi more than 4000 Indians have gone back. In addition nine chartered flights have carried back more than 1500 blue collared workers. Indian govt has given approval for companies and organizations to charter flights in cases where they have to repatriate stranded Indians back from the UAE.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Priority is being given to distressed workers, stranded tourists, pregnant women, medical emergency cases and senior citizens in sending back. Today , 13 flights are being operated from various Gulf countries, which hopes to take back more than 2000 Indians.</span><br />'' a proposed 100 per cent tap connections to all the households by December, 2022. Out of five lakh 89 thousand total rural households, the State is planning to provide one lakh 80 thousand tap connections in 2020-21.<br />'' <br />'' Meghalaya is blessed with more than average rainfall and has abundant natural water resources. However, due to detrimental human interference, the water levels being depleted.&nbsp;<br />
