The Government on Wednesday approved 14 proposals of foreign direct investment, FDI, worth over 1,289 crore rupees. According to an official release, the Foreign Investment Promotion Board gave its nod to Kolkata based Dhunseri Investments FDI proposals worth 715 crore rupees followed by the Mauritius based company Ghir Investments for induction of foreign equity worth 530 crore rupees. However, the Board deferred decisions on 27 proposals including Essar Capital Holdings and Forbo Holding AG.
